Future Alternative Wood Products Ltd. incorporated in 2005 and began production in the spring of 2008. Even though this is a new company, the owners Pierre Friolet and Robert (Bob) Lennon bring a wealth of experience to the table, with many years of experience in business and the wood industries. We manufacture thermally modified lumber, sold and marketed under the registered trade name of, Bois Ecothermo wood®. The technology used called Thermowood, developed by VTT and sold by VALUTEC, is relatively new in North America but is a fast growing proven state of the art technology in Europe.

As the world turns towards renewable resources, environmentally friendly building materials and sustainable buildings the market opportunities that are available are global and the applications for this heat treated process are endless in many different wood manufacturing sectors.
